Engagement with IFAC and CAPA representatives
On Monday, October 20, 2025, IFAC Vice President Taryn Rulton, IFAC CEO Lee White, IFAC Principal Harpal Singh, and CAPA Chief Executive Jennifer Lopez visited the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA). They held discussions with JICPA Chairman and President Naruhito Minami, Chief Executive Hisashi Sato, and IFAC Board Member Kohei Kan. Discussions covered common initiatives and challenges, including enhancing the attractiveness of the profession.
The following day, Tuesday, October 21, IFAC Vice President Taryn Rulton exchanged views with the JICPA Chairman and President and Deputy Presidents regarding IFAC's initiatives.
Also on the same day, Harpal Singh, Principal of the IFAC Small and Medium Practices Advisory Group (SMP AG), exchanged views with Deputy President Tatsuya Arai and IFAC SMP AG Technical Advisor Masayuki Arai on the domestic and international situation concerning small and medium practices, the utilization of AI, and the importance of sustainability.
