The Chair of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants visited the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants
On April 16, the Chair of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), and the Co-CEO of International Foundation for Ethics and Audit (IFEA), Ms. Gabriela Figueiredo Dias, the Program and Senior Director of the IESBA, Mr. Ken Siong and the Principal Ms. Szilvia Sramko visited the JICPA.
From April 16 to 17, we will hold the Ethics Seminar 2024 with the IESBA Chair "Part1 for the Proposed International Ethics Standards for Sustainability Assurance (Including International Independence Standards) (IESSA) and Ethics Standards Relating to Sustainability Reporting" and "Part2 for the Revisions to the Code Addressing Tax Planning and Related Services", and they will have a discussion with the various stakeholders focused on the IESBA's key projects such as Sustainability and Firm Culture and Governance.
We sincerely welcome the visit of the IESBA chair to Japan as a great opportunity for all individuals related to financial and non-financial information to deepen their understanding of Ethics and Independence.
