The Chair of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants visited the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants
On August 2nd, we invited the Chair of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), and the Co-CEO of International Foundation for Ethics and Audit (IFEA), Ms. Gabriela Figueiredo Dias and the Director of the IESBA, Mr. Geoff Kwan to the JICPA, and had a meeting with the Chair and President of the JICPA, Mr. Tetsuya Mogi and other council members.
From August 2nd to 4th, they will visit some relevant organizations and hold meetings with auditing firms and Ethics Standards Committee of the JICPA and other party, to have a discussion with the various stakeholders focused on the IESBA Proposed Strategy and Work Plan for 2024-2027 (SWP 2024-2027) and Sustainability. On August 4th, we will hold the Ethics Seminar with the IESBA Chair "What is the "ethics" required of those who deal with financial and non-financial information, considering the latest IESBA information".
We sincerely welcome the visit of the IESBA chair to Japan as a great opportunity for all individuals related to financial and non-financial information to deepen their understanding of Ethics and Independence.
