JICPA supports FSA and CPAAOB for hosting IFIAR permanent secretariat in Tokyo
JICPA, together with Japan Exchange Group, Inc., Japanese Bankers Association, and KEIDANREN (Japan Business Federation), published a statement of support for the Financial Services Agency (FSA) and the Certified Public Accountants and Auditing Oversight Board (CPAAOB) for their decision to run for hosting the IFIAR (International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators) Permanent Secretariat in Tokyo.
IFIAR plans to establish its permanent secretariat in 2017.
Given the growing significance of IFIAR in audit oversight in recent years, JICPA believes its decision to establish the permanent secretariat is feasible, and Tokyo, being one of the key financial centers in the world, will be an ideal place for IFIAR’s permanent secretariat.
