IESBA chairman and IFAC Executive Director visit JICPA

On January 21-22, 2013, JICPA held a discussion meeting with Mr. Jörgen Holmquist, a chairman of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), and Mr. Jim Sylph, IFAC Executive Director, who visited Japan for outreach activities.
On this occasion of their visit, Mr. Holmquist and Mr. Sylph delivered a special lecture, entitled "IESBA Update" at JICPA headquarters on January 22. This lecture was attended by more than 200 people.
During the lecture, Mr. Holmquist and Mr. Sylph explained recent activities of IESBA, including the project "Breach of a Requirement of the IESBA Code"and “Responding to a Suspected Illegal Act".
