18th World Congress of Accountants was held in Kuala Lumpur from November 8th to 11th with the theme, “Accountants: Sustaining Value Creation,” which was co-hosted by the IFAC and Malaysian Institute of Accountants. 

From Japan, Mr. Tomokazu Sekiguchi (Accounting Standards Board of Japan / Financial Accounting Standards Foundation of Japan), Prof. Takeshi Mizuguchi (Professor, Takasaki City University of Economics / Chairman, JICPA Sustainability Disclosure Working Group), and Ms. Aiko Sekine (Deputy President, JICPA / Member, International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants(IESBA)) participated and made successful presentations as speakers during concurrent sessions. In addition, approximately 70 delegates, including their accompanying persons, attended the Congress from Japan.
